Mission

About us:  Orion Network  and Disability Advocacy Solutions is a sole proprietorship founded by Steve Moats.  With a Master of Arts degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and more than 30 years of experience working with and for people experiencing unique challenges due to disability, Steve's diverse career experiences include lengthy employment in human resources, business management and unit/staff supervision, ADA accommodations in the workplace, and provision of accommodations for college students.   In 1995, Moats founded a highly successful consulting firm to assist people with disabilities in their personal and career endeavors-- he continues to take pride in establishing meaningful relationships with each of his clients knowing that, together, we can make a difference in our world and he passionately believes that every person matters.   Steve has testified at several hundred hearings as a 'vocational expert' and is highly successful in representing individuals applying/appealing for Social Security disability (or SSI) benefits.

Our Mission: Because life can be challenging, Orion exists to be a voice and provide a skilled helping-hand to those who are, many times, overlooked.  As advocates, we stand in the forefront to address to the concerns that directly impact the lives of exceptional people. This often involves critical knowledge, collaborations, and networking with key partners in our communities including local agencies, employers, the Social Security Administration, and other governmental resources.
